This #FashionFriday, we’re stepping into the last weekend of summer 2019 with a new name to hit our showroom, Peregrine. Whilst they’ve been manufacturing here in the UK for 220 years, this British brand is a new addition to our Macclesfield store.
We’ve got plenty to come from Peregrine, with their unique shirts, jackets and perhaps even some women’s-wear in the future. However, this week we’re preparing for the coming of autumn with their incredible knitwear. Keep reading to see our top picks this #FashionFriday…
Made with 100% British wool, Peregrine wants customers to be excited about where their clothing comes from. Sustainability, quality and longevity are just some of the reasons we love this menswear brand.
‘New for AW19, the Ford Crew takes inspiration from the classic country jumper and transforms it into an every day, wardrobe staple. ‘– Peregrine on the Ford Crew (below)
Peregrine create pieces that will stand the test of time, with classic styles, functionality and incredibly high quality. All of these jumpers are great wardrobe staples that can be worn throughout the cooler months, year after year. They take inspiration from English Heritage, standing up to the elements and adjusting to both country and city living.
‘Originally created for fishermen going out in wet windy conditions at sea, a true fisherman’s rib needs almost double the yarn of a plain knit jumper of the same size, making it extra warm when the weather closes in.’– Peregrine on the Hudson Aran Jumper
‘The Goodwin vest is from our Men’s ‘Core’ collection, the knitted vest or ‘sweater vest’ , once popular in the 1970s, is most certainly having a resurgence as a lot of traditional British leisurewear garments are. ‘– Peregrine on the Goodwin Knitted Vest
Whether you’re looking for everyday basics or that stand out piece, Peregrine have something for everyone. From classic nautical tones of cream and navy, to striking shades of mustard yellow, rust orange and sky blue, this brand knows how to keep things on-trend whilst simultaneously timeless.
‘The asymmetric colouring is a modernistic approach to a traditional men’s style that can waken your wardrobe in an instant. ‘– Peregrine on the Funky Jumper (Thomas)
That’s it for this week’s #FashionFriday, we hope you love Peregrine as much as we do! Whether you’re discovering the brand for the first time, or seeing an old favourite reach our town, come and see more at our showroom on Chestergate, Macclesfield.
