All about the beige this SS18

It’s time to put away that thick winter coat and grab something more lightweight. Last #FashionFriday we looked at formal blazers and waistcoats. This week we’ve got a selection of casual jackets that will keep you going through spring until autumn and they’re all in one of our favourite colours for the season, beige.

Ever misunderstood, beige is a colour that we swear by here at John Douglas Menswear. Not only is it versatile, but also subtle and on-trend; beige is the ideal colour for warmer months. Be it a soft sand tone, or a deep tan, there is a perfect beige for everyone.

Keep reading to take a closer look at our wide variety of spring/summer beige jackets.

Herbie Frogg:

This mid-toned suede bomber jacket from Herbie Frogg can be dressed up or down for any occasion. The casual fit paired with the luxurious texture makes for a unique jacket that can be worn by all.

With a classic Herbie Frogg patterned lining and collar details, this jacket shows the brands incredible attention to detail. We think it looks great coupled with this bold t-shirt from Pretty Green.

Realm & Empire:

Leicestershire based Realm and Empire is a truly unique menswear brand. Inspired by findings from within the Imperial War Museum archives; their collections bring pieces of history back to life with modern, on-trend fashion.

Influenced by historical air-force jackets, this dark sand bomber is great for spring.
Here’s what the brand has to say about it;

In 1944, the RAF committed over 1100 aircraft to the pre-Overlord bombing effort targeting military camps, airfields and railway yards in support of the forthcoming invasion. With open cockpits, bomber squadrons required flying jackets that were both windproof and very warm, usually crafted from heavy leathers.

Fortunately, for you, our raglan-sleeved flight jacket is crafted from a lightweight nylon in a classic, regular fit bomber silhouette. Features includes a sporty knitted-rib cotton neckline and cuffs, a sturdy leather zip, contrast coloured lining and a zipped patch pocket on the arm.’ – realmandempire.com¬†

This stone, combat overcoat is a very interesting, lightweight jacket. Its cool-toned colour and mid-weight cotton twill make this jacket ideal for cool summer evenings.

Baracuta:

Last but not least, is the classic Harrington jacket from Baracuta. As a part of our fashion history series, we have previously shown you this famous jacket in great detail. Have a read of this blog to learn more!
